2018 Racing Season.

Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association are busy planning the upcoming season with the first event being Round 1 of the Track Championships on the 28th of April.

Nitro Up North is on the 13th and 14th of July with the nitro set to deafen and shake the spectators at The Valley. To complement the show will be a Bunch of Nitro Funny Cars and Top Fuel Bikes. The fastest sedans on the planet will be in attendance, the times and speeds these cars have been achieving this season has lifted the bar to a new level with the first 260 plus mph (419kph) speeds over the ¼ mile run in Perth on the 4th of March this year.

Darwin has been the start of the Australian Championship Season for the last 3 years and the ANDRA Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman series will kick off at the Nitro Up North event with full fields in all sportsman brackets expected to attend. Last years event packed The Valley and this years event should be bigger and better than ever. Of course an event of this size could not happen without the support of the NT Government and MotorsportsNT.

Last season saw a resurgence in the local racing scene and this year we are expecting many new cars and bikes to hit the track. Some vehicles that have been away from the track for a while are nearing completion ready for the start of the season. There will be street meets run through out the season with dates in the planning stage.

The committee is excited about how the season is coming together and we looking forward to the end of the wet and getting down to racing at one of the best tracks in the country.
